Frequently asked questions

Why so many HTTP RFCs?

HTTP has been re-specified multiple times. RFC 2616 (1999) was the long-standing spec, replaced by 723x (2014), then 911x (2022). Today HTTP/1.1 lives across RFCs 9110-9114.
